C.O.R.E. Information Service
Where do you turn when you have a hearing loss? We are asked questions about hearing health hundreds of times each week. First, we Communicate with callers, then determine which Options are desired, Refer to resources beyond ours (if needed) and Educate the caller to the issues of hearing loss.

No Cost Phone Equipment
Under a contract with the Florida Telecommunications Relay Inc., special volume control phones, ringers, and TTY’s, as well as training are available to qualified Florida residents at no cost. (by appointment only)

Client and Community Education
Our presentations, workshops, health fairs, newsletters, other publications, and events for children, adults, and service providers help promote hearing health and public understanding. Workshops review the latest technology. Popular classes in Speech Reading are offered at beginner and advanced levels.

Counseling/Client Assistance
Our family counselor meets with clients for specific problem-solving or for individual or family counseling – often using sign language. We advocate and explain the requirements for interpreters or other accommodations. We also make referrals to certified interpreters. A refurbished hearing aid from our Hearing Aid Bank may be provided.

Our audiologist dispenses all levels of hearing aid technology, from basic conventional to advanced digital. In addition, complete hearing tests, hearing aid servicing, patient counseling, and community screenings are provided.

Our ALD Resource Center offers the latest Cordless Phones and Cordless Personal Amplifiers for TV’s as well as many other assistive listening devices.
